This road affords some of the best views of the Ohio River on the byway. The road, which features several picnic tables and a historic lockmaster building, ends at a series of houses that were built in the late 1920s to house lockmasters. These homes, owned and restored by the city of Golconda, provide some of the most unique lodging on the byway, all with excellent views of the river.
