This park in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Southern Illinois. There are magnificent bluffs and rock formations and breathtaking views of the forested landscape. The park features camping, restrooms and a variety of hiking trails. The Illinois state quarter, to be minted in 2016, will feature a view of the park. A mobile phone-based interpretive tour connects visitors with the park and National Forest lands.
